As the Founding/Managing Director of Breakthrough Communications, Carlette DeLeon has embarked on a new phase of her professional career. This new challenge places her in an ideal position to take advantage of her multi-faceted skills in the corporate communications and entertainment fields.

When not in the office or the Boardroom, she hosts a weekly live radio feature, Tech4Life, which airs on Radio Jamaica.

She has drawn on all her life experience to pen a personal and profoundly funny adult picture book, #JoysOfParetning.

Her positions as Promotions Coordinator at The Book Shop and Public Relations Assistant at J. Wray & Nephew Ltd. have also added to her expertise. Her subsequent stint with Shocking Vibes Productions as Public Relations Officer and her dual roles of Publicist and Administrative Manager at Headline Entertainment provided specific training in the intricacies of entertainment.

In a parallel media capacity, Carlette was a featured presenter on RETV’s INtech and a frequent blogger on her own www.CarletteDeLeon.com website.

Previously, Carlette also co-hosted TVJ’s morning news magazine programme - Smile Jamaica and contributed to a weekly newspaper column - Star’s Tech: IT Easy, in addition to magazine columns.

Before embarking on her communication career, Carlette attended College of Arts Science and Technology (CAST, now UTech) where she pursued her Marketing Diploma.

Beyond her professional life, Carlette founded the Hope Elliott Memorial Scholarship to provide scholarships and support to talented young students of limited means at The Queen’s High School for Girls and is a Justice of the Peace.
